Navigation problems in the Peugeot 2008 Diesel model year 2021: experiences and suggested solutions

Navigationssystem is not working

Hey guys, have you ever had problems with the sat nav in a Peugeot 2008 diesel (2021 model year)? I'm guessing message errors between the ECUs, but not sure. Has anyone had similar experiences and can provide troubleshooting tips? How did you get the problem solved in the workshop? I am grateful for any experience reports!

Hello, I had a similar problem with my Peugeot 208 Diesel (built in 2019). My car know-how is somewhere between "a bit of experience" and "hobby mechanic". I had the problem fixed at my authorized workshop. It turned out that the CAN-BUS or MOST bus was damaged and had to be replaced - cost me 235 euros. I first tried to solve the problem myself, but without success. To be able to help you more precisely, it would be useful to have more information about your vehicle. Perhaps also a little more about the type of error you are experiencing. Is everything else running smoothly with the car?

Hello, thank you for your answer. Well, my Peugeot has now done 189346 km. The last service was done a couple of months ago, but the problem with the sat nav occurred after that. Nothing else seems to be wrong at the moment, everything else is running smoothly. Just the sat nav somehow not doing what it should. Has anyone ever had a similar problem in the mileage range? How did you solve it? Could it be time for a new sat nav?

Hi, ah, thanks for the additional information. My Peugeot 208 has already covered around 210,000 km and still runs like clockwork. I also had similar problems with the navigation system. At first I thought it was irreparable damage and needed a new sat nav. But I can tell you, sometimes it's not as bad as it seems. In my case, it was a faulty cable connecting the control unit to the sat nav. In the end, it was much cheaper to replace the faulty parts than to buy a new sat nav. So before you get too worried, it might be a good idea to take it to a garage first. They can tell you exactly what is broken and how much a repair would cost. It's quite possible that it's just a minor fault that needs to be repaired. Stay optimistic!

Hello, you said it! It could well be a problem with the wiring. I will first go to the garage and have it checked to see if the problem can be fixed. I really hope it's nothing serious. I will definitely keep you updated as soon as I know more. Buying a new sat nav is the last thing I need right now! Thanks for your advice and support, I really appreciate it!
