Thanks for describing your experience with the Giulietta leveling sensor repair. I had similar issues with my MiTo last summer, rough ride, uneven stance and those annoying warning lights. After getting it fixed with new height sensors and a suspension control module, its been running perfectly. Just wondering, do you remember the final repair cost for your leveling system work? Also, has the fix held up well or have you noticed any other suspension issues since then?

Good news to share, after taking my Giulietta to a qualified mechanic, the height control restricted warning was fully resolved. The repair involved fixing a defective control rod on the leveling sensor, which cost 110 Euro including labor and calibration. The air suspension and ride height have been perfect since the fix six months ago. The height sensor now correctly measures the vehicle position, and the suspension maintains proper leveling under all conditions. No more warning lights or uneven stance issues. It was much simpler than my initial repair experience since the mechanic quickly identified the specific control rod issue through proper diagnostics. The load sensor and other suspension components were all functioning normally, so no additional parts were needed. A proper diagnosis definitely saved money compared to replacing multiple parts unnecessarily. Worth finding a shop that knows these leveling systems well.

After dealing with those leveling sensor problems, I finally got my MiTo fixed last week. The automotive suspension specialist quickly diagnosed the issue using their diagnostic equipment. They found both front height sensors were failing, causing the control module to get confused about the ride height. The total repair came to 380 Euro including: 2 new leveling sensors, Control module reset and calibration, Labor costs Much better than my previous bad experience where another shop just kept replacing unusual parts. The air suspension now works perfectly, no more warning lights or uneven stance. The headlights are properly aligned again and the ride is smooth. Just wanted to update and confirm this was definitely a sensor issue like you suggested. Really appreciate the detailed info about your similar experience, it helped me know what to expect this time around.

Having experienced similar symptoms on my Giulietta 2.0 JTD from 2013, I can confirm this likely points to issues with the leveling system. The control module was receiving incorrect signals from a faulty load sensor, causing the air suspension to misread vehicle height. The height adjustment system requires proper calibration between all sensors to maintain correct ride height. When the control rod connecting to the sensor becomes worn or damaged, it causes irregular readings, leading to uneven suspension behavior and misaligned headlights. In my case, the repair involved: Full diagnostic scan of the leveling system, Replacement of the faulty height sensor, Control rod assembly replacement, Recalibration of the entire system This was a significant repair that required specialized diagnostic equipment. The system complexity means its not just a simple sensor swap, proper calibration is essential for the height control to function correctly. The symptoms you describe match exactly what I experienced, uneven ride height, suspension issues, and warning lights. Best to address this promptly as continued operation can stress other suspension components. A qualified shop should perform a complete system diagnosis before replacing parts, as multiple components in the leveling system can cause similar symptoms.
