Mirage Hands-Free Calling Issue: Mic System Problems?
Calls cannot be answered

Thanks for sharing your experience! My Mirage's at 96944 KM and just had its service last month. Mine's got the basic LS trim, and yeah, I've actually noticed the audio volume unsual fluctuating sometimes, especially when using navigation. Haven't tried a system reset yet, would love to know how to do that before heading to the dealer. Definitely want to avoid that repair bill if possible!
Hey again! Yeah, those volume fluctuations alongside the calling issues, that's exactly what I experienced with my ASX before things got worse. Since you mentioned it, definitely try the system reset first, it's super simple and might save you that expensive dealer visit! For the reset, just hold down the power button on your infotainment system for about 10 seconds until it restarts. If that doesn't work, there's also the hard reset option: turn off your car, disconnect the negative battery terminal for about 15 minutes, then reconnect. This cleared up some gremlins in my system before it eventually needed the full repair. But heads up, if the reset doesn't fix it and you're still having those audio fluctuations, it might be heading down the same path as mine did. Keep an eye on it, and if things get worse, you might want to start saving for that repair just in case. The good news is my ASX has been working perfectly since the fix, no more weird volume issues or call problems! Hope the reset works for you! Let me know how it goes.
Thanks so much for the detailed reset instructions! That's super helpful and definitely worth trying before shelling out for repairs. I'll give both methods a shot this weekend, starting with the simple power button reset first. Really appreciate you breaking it down and sharing the warning signs too. I've got my fingers crossed the reset does the trick, but at least now I know what I might be in for if it doesn't! I'll probably start putting aside some cash just in case it heads down the same path as your ASX. Thanks again for all your help! I'll update you on how the reset goes.
Hey there! I have some experience with car electronics. I had a similar issue with my 2019 Mitsubishi ASX, the entire infotainment system started acting up, including the hands-free calling. Super frustrating! Took it to my local Mitsubishi dealer, and they diagnosed a faulty main control unit. The whole repair, including labor and parts, set me back about 815 Euro, but it fixed everything. What trim level is your Mirage, and have you noticed any other weird behavior from the infotainment system? Like screen glitches or audio issues? Might help narrow down if you're dealing with the same problem I had. Also, have you tried doing a system reset yet? Just curious before suggesting the dealer route.
