Mini Paceman Headlight Range Control Issue

I'm experiencing a rather annoying issue with the lighting system on my 2015 Mini Paceman diesel. The headlight range control seems to be malfunctioning. There's an error stored in the memory, a warning light is on in the speedometer, and the low beam is shining either too far up or too far down. From what I've read, a defective servomotor in the headlight is the likely culprit. Has anyone experienced something similar?

Faulty headlight range control can be tricky. Have you checked the fuses related to the lighting system? Also, does the light intensity change at all when you start the engine or drive over bumps?

I did check the fuses, and they seem fine. Regarding the light intensity, I haven't noticed any changes when starting the engine. However, I'm not sure about bumps. How would that indicate a problem?

Bumps could point to a temporary connection issue, but since you have a stored error and incorrect beam direction, the servomotor is likely the problem as you suspect. Given the adaptive headlights and range control issues, a workshop visit is probably the best course of action.

Thank you for your input. I took the car to a workshop and, as suspected, the servomotor in the headlight was defective. Repair costs amounted to 1040€. Everything is working correctly now.
