Mini Paceman fuel injection issue

In my case, it turned out to be a corroded connector on one of the fuel injectors. The mechanic cleaned it up and applied some dielectric grease, and the problem vanished. However, I would still recommend a visit to a qualified workshop for a proper diagnosis. Isn't it better to be safe than sorry?

Indeed, quite irritating. Regarding your experience, was the root cause definitively a cable or plug connection as the diagnostic suggests in my case, or were there other contributing factors? Was there any maintenance I should consider to avoid this issue?

I appreciate your assistance. It appears you were correct. After a diagnostic evaluation, a defective cable connection within the fuel injection system was identified as the culprit. The repair cost came to 95€. Thank you again.

That does sound frustrating. I had a similar issue with my Mini Cooper. The symptoms were almost identical: reduced engine performance and the occasional stall at idle. Have you checked for any obvious fuel leaks around the injectors? Perhaps the fuel rail?
