Mini Paceman Bumper Antenna Issues

Anyone else experienced issues with the bumper antenna on their 2015 Mini Paceman? I'm getting an error in the memory, the central locking is acting up, and I can't start the engine without the key in the ignition. I'm guessing a defective cable or plug connection on the vehicle antenna, but any advice would be appreciated.

Sounds like a familiar gremlin. I had similar issues with my Mini, kept getting signal interference, and the central locking went haywire. Have you checked the FM antenna connection? Could be a loose plug or corroded cable.

Where exactly is the bumper antenna connection located? Is it easy enough to get to myself, or am I better off just taking it to a shop?

Yeah, mine ended up being a bad connection right at the antenna in the bumper. I'd say unless you're comfy with auto electrics, it's probably worth getting a shop to take a look. It's a PITA to get to, and you don't want to mess anything else up.

Just got the Paceman back from the garage. Turns out it was exactly as you said, a dodgy connection on the bumper antenna. 95€ all in. Thanks for the heads up!
