I appreciate your quick response. To answer your question, I'm not entirely sure if they checked the battery during the initial diagnostics. Could a faulty battery even cause these software issues? What exactly went wrong with your car?

Yep, that was my experience almost exactly. Pretty sure they swapped out or reflashed something. I'm no expert, but this sounds like you need a software update or recalibration of the control unit. Honestly, I'd say just take it to a workshop and let them sort it out. It's probably faster and less of a headache.

Thank you for your help. I took it to a workshop, and after onboard diagnostics, they performed a control unit recalibration and a software update. It seems to have resolved the issue. The navigation is working again, and the error is gone.

Sounds familiar. I had something similar happen with my Countryman. The control module went haywire. Was the battery checked when the onboard diagnostics were run?
