Mini Countryman Electric Rear Window Heating Problem

I am experiencing an issue with the rear window heating in my 2023 Mini Countryman Electric. The vehicle has 101760 kilometers. The rear window heating is not functioning, and there is an error stored in the error memory. Furthermore, the windshield heating is not operating as it should. From initial diagnostics, a heavily discharged or defective battery seems to be the most likely cause. Has anyone else encountered something similar with this model?

Sounds like a battery issue. I had a similar heating issue with my rear defroster and auto defrost. Does your windshield heating work as usual?

Yes, I had similar errors stored in the system. By 'auto defrost' I mean the system automatically defrosting the windows. I suggest getting the battery checked as soon as possible.

Thank you for sharing your experience. I took the Mini Countryman to a workshop, and they confirmed a heavily discharged battery was the cause. Replacing it resolved the rear window heating issue. Total cost was 290€ including the battery and labor.
