Mini Countryman Electric Battery Malfunction

I'm experiencing a rather frustrating issue with my 2023 Mini Countryman Electric, which has clocked around km. I'm getting a persistent error message in the speedometer related to a battery malfunction. When I hooked it up to a diagnostic tool, it also showed an error stored in the error memory. The car is also struggling to start sometimes, and I've noticed some other odd electrical glitches. My initial suspicion is that the auxiliary battery isn't charging properly, which could lead to this battery malfunction, but I'm not sure. Any thoughts before I take it in?

I had something similar happen on my Countryman. I kept getting a low voltage warning pop up, and it turned out to be related to the auxiliary power system. Did you notice if the voltage drop was consistent, or did it happen intermittently?

The voltage drop seemed pretty random, honestly. What did you end up doing to fix your issue? Any idea what component was causing the problem?

Yeah, that sounds really similar to what I experienced. For me, it was the auxiliary battery itself that was faulty. The 'auxiliary battery' is basically a smaller battery that supports some of the car's electronics. I'd suggest getting it checked out by a professional. They can properly test the battery's health and charging capability.

A huge thank you for your input! It ended up being exactly as you suspected. I took it to a workshop, they confirmed the auxiliary battery wasn't holding a charge, and after the battery replacement, everything is back to normal. The grand total was around 290€, but worth it to have the car running smoothly again.
