Mini Countryman Blower Motor Failure

Alright, so the fresh air blower in my 2023 Mini Countryman diesel has decided to quit. The blower motor is not working at all. I scanned the error memory and it shows a fault related to the blower. From what I've read, it's likely a defective blower motor. Is there anything else I should check before replacing it? It's like the climate control is just completely off; no air conditioning, no heat, nothing.

The symptoms you describe, combined with the stored error, strongly suggest a faulty blower motor. Have you checked the fan speed controller? Sometimes that can cause similar issues.

Thanks for the quick reply! Where exactly is the fan speed controller located, and is there a way to test it before I resign myself to replacing the blower motor?

Given the error code and lack of function across all fan speeds, it is highly probable that the blower motor is defective. While the fan speed controller could theoretically be at fault, it is less likely when the motor is completely unresponsive. It's like blaming a light switch when the bulb is burned out. Proceeding with the blower motor replacement at a workshop is advisable, especially considering the cost you quoted, which seems reasonable.

Just wanted to close the loop on this. Took it to the workshop and, as you suspected, the blower motor was indeed the culprit. 365€ later, the air conditioning is blowing cold again. Thanks a bunch for the confirmation!
