Mini Cooper Fault Memory Lock Issue

I am experiencing a fault memory lock with my 2009 Mini Cooper, gasoline engine. An error is stored in the error memory. From my diagnostics, the likely cause is undervoltage in the vehicle. Has anyone encountered this, and what resolution was found?

I had a similar issue with my Mini Cooper. Does the error appear intermittently? A memory lock usually prevents certain functions after an error is detected.

When you encountered this memory lock, were any control unit functions impaired? I am trying to determine the extent of the issue beyond the stored error. My understanding is that this active memory lock protects the system.

Yes, certain features were temporarily disabled. The garage confirmed it was due to undervoltage. I recommend a workshop visit for proper ECU diagnostics. They can unlock the active memory after resolving the root cause.

I appreciate the confirmation. The issue was indeed an undervoltage situation, leading to the active memory lock. Car electronics are susceptible to such issues. ECU diagnostics confirmed the fault. Repair cost was 240€. Thank you for your input.
