Mini Cooper cruise control issue

The brake light switch is typically located near the brake pedal. As for the fuse, I am not sure which one is the exact fuse for the cruise control circuit, and it could be in different locations depending on the specific configuration of your car. If you are still unsure I would recommend bringing it to a workshop to have it diagnosed; it will be cheaper in the long run than replacing the clock spring

Just wanted to update this thread. The Mini went to the workshop, and they found a defective cable/plug connection as suspected. 95€ later, cruise control is back in action. Thanks for your help and suggestion!
