Mini Clubman Diesel CEL Fuel Level Sensor Issue

My 2008 Mini Clubman diesel is throwing a CEL. Engine stalls at idle, and the error memory points to the fuel level sensor. Seen this before? Is there a fuse for the car sensor I should check first?

I had a similar issue with my Clubman. The car dashboard lit up like a Christmas tree and the engine was acting up. Have you checked the fuel tank? Maybe there's something wonky with the level sensor there.

You mention 'wonky' level sensor. What exactly was happening before you got it sorted?

Yeah, same symptoms. Engine stalling, car dashboard warnings, the whole shebang. For me, it was a faulty sensor, period. I'd say bite the bullet and take it to a workshop to get it checked out.

Problem solved. Turns out it was indeed a faulty sensor. Replaced the fuel level sensor, cost me 52€. All good now.
