I didn't fix it myself, no. It was a corroded connector on the fuel filter heater cable so similar to what you are thinking. The error code pointed me in that direction, but I wasn't confident enough to mess with the fuel system myself. Okay, so just wanted to update you. Took the Mini to the workshop. Turns out it was indeed the fuel filter heater the cable was corroded like you suggested.
