Hi, I recently had a similar problem with my 2017 Mini Cooper. I had exactly the same symptoms, jerking and hissing when accelerating, loss of engine power and shuddering at idle. I also suspected a faulty boost pressure sensor and I was right! At my garage, the defect was actually found in the boost pressure sensor. They first tried to clean it, but the problem persisted. So they replaced the boost pressure sensor and since then the Mini has been running like new again. That was at around 48,000 km. The whole thing cost me 265 euros. I'm no expert, but based on my experience, I would recommend checking your boost pressure sensor. It could well be that this is your problem too. Good luck, dude!
