Start by inspecting the wiring harness for any visible signs of damage, especially in areas prone to rodent activity. Check the connections and grounds related to the steering angle sensor and electric steering system. If you haven't already, try using a diagnostic tool to scan for error codes that might give more insight into the specific issues. Let me know how it goes or if you need further assistance.
I am almost sure it’s rodent damage. I just don’t know where this sensor is and where it goes. With that information I would be able to fix it. Wire routing diagram?

I recommend checking the area around the steering column and under the dashboard for the steering angle sensor and its wiring. Look for any signs of chewed wires or insulation. If you can access a repair manual specific to your model, it should provide wire routing diagrams. Alternatively, consider using an online service like Alldata or Mitchell1 for detailed schematics. Let me know if you need more guidance or have any questions.
