Mercedes Citan problems (2019) with the navigation system screen

Navigationssystem is not working

Hello everyone, the navigation system in my 2015 Mercedes Citan Diesel no longer works. I suspect that the screen has failed. Have any of you had similar experiences and can give me tips on how to fix the problem? How did you solve this at the garage and what costs did you incur? Thanks in advance!

Hey, I had a similar problem with my 2016 Mercedes Vito. In my case, it was also the navigation system and the screen just stopped working. I would say I have some experience with such things, but here I had to go to the workshop. The problem was a bad connection between the control unit and the display (cable connection defective). The repair cost me 165.0 euros. The workshop quickly found the problem and fixed it. I would recommend that you first have it checked to see if the cable connection is the problem. What error messages do you get or does the screen simply not come on? I may be able to help you better with that. Good luck!

Hey, thanks for the tip! That could actually be the reason. I don't get an error message, the screen just stays black. I'll probably have to take it to the garage to have it checked. By the way, I've just got the Citan over the 219,876 km mark. Doesn't sound quite so expensive, hope it stays within my budget. Merci!

Hey, no problem, I'm glad I could help you! The fact that your screen stays black and no error message appears really indicates a cable connection or perhaps even a problem with the power supply. They found the problem relatively quickly with my Vito, so I hope it works as smoothly with your Citan. With 219,876 km on the odometer, you've already clocked up some serious miles! But watch out for worn parts in general, they can often cause trouble at such mileages. Please keep us up to date on what the workshop finds out and how much it ultimately cost. Keep your fingers crossed that it won't be too expensive! Best regards!

Hey, thanks again! Yes, I will go straight to the garage. Good idea that the power supply could also be an issue that I should have checked. I hope it will be a quick and cheap fix. Yes, with all those kilometers I really need to keep an eye on the wearing parts. As soon as I know more, I'll definitely let you know what the garage found out and how much the repair cost. Thanks for your help and the quick answers! Best regards!
