Mazda Spiano 2003 Headlight Range Control Issues and Unidentified Warning Light

Warning light in the speedometer of the vehicle

Low beam and high beam seems too high or too low

Hey fellow car enthusiasts, I've got a 2003 Mazda Spiano with a gasoline engine(~47,365 KM mileage). I've got an issue with the low/high beams seeming quite off and an unusual warning light on the speedo. Had a rough run with the garage guys last time. Makes me think it might be a headlight range control malfunction. Anyone had similar symptoms before and how did it go with your mechanic? Cheers.

Hey, had a similar problem with my 2000 Mazda Demio last year. Damn right, it was a bit off in the night with low/high beams and warning light popping up on speedo. Realized later it was the defective servomotor in the headlight giving the signals. Wasn't any simple wiring glitch. The ride to the garage was long overdue. Mechanic had to replace the headlight module 'cause the servomotor was the culprit indeed. Afterward, everything was up and running, no unusual warning lights. So might be hour to roll sleeves up and visit your mechanic again. Stay safe on roads.

Hey there! Spot on about the headlight range control. Faced a similar issue with my '01 Spiano that was making night drives quite the adventure. Had to take her to the shop and found out the servomotor was acting up. Hey, do you recall how much the repair set you back? And since that fix, have you had any other mysterious lights or issues pop up on your Mazda? Cheers.

Hey there! Yeah, I definitely remember the repair for that pesky servomotor. Stung a bit in the pocket having to shell out around 1040.00 €, but on the bright side, my Mazda's been shining clear on the road ever since. No more cryptic warning lights or low/high beam issues troubling me. Sorted it right out after that visit to the mechanic. So you might be looking at a similar fix. Stay safe and let's keep these classic Mazdas running. Cheers!

Overflowing in gratitude. Sounds like your experiences have offered some much-needed clarity. Still hurts thinking about parting with around a grand for the servomotor fix - damn garage bills. But it's good to know that both of you haven't had any additional surprise warning lights since getting it repaired. Keeping my fingers crossed, got a mechanic appointment tomorrow. Wish me luck and will share an update post fixes. Long live our Mazdas! Cheers.
