Ah, troublesome hoses? Now that you mention it, sounds pretty plausible! Thanks for the tip, I'll definitely have those checked out pronto. Just out of curiosity, you remember how much it set you back for the fix? And has anything else come up with your Mazda since you went through this hullabaloo? Also since you mentioned, how's the Mazda 6 treating you these days? Cheers!
Hey there! Well, fixing those mischievous hoses did hit my wallet a bit, costing me 175 € in total, but it was worth it - no more engine power issues since then. As for the tank vent valve, I saw the mechanic, and we managed to get that sorted out as well after a few trials and errors. As for my Mazda 6, it's been treating me pretty well since we sorted out those issues. Nothing significant has come up again fingers crossed. The old girl purrs like a kitten and performs like a dream after those fix-ups. Cheers!
Ah, that's a relief to hear! I'm glad your Mazda 6 is in good shape now. I've made a note to get my hoses and tank vent valve checked ASAP. 175 € seems reasonable to avoid these annoying issues, thank you for sharing your experience. Fingers crossed, my Mazda RX8 will be back to purring like a kitten soon enough! Thanks for your help and advice, really appreciate it. Cheers!
Hey there! I feel ya! I've got a 2013 Mazda 6 and had similar symptoms last year. The engine would struggle, it would stall and shake at idle, and the same annoying light kept popping on. Turned out it wasn't a tank vent valve issue but some problematic hoses. It was the coolant and vacuum hoses to be exact, they were leaking causing pressure imbalances in the engine system. I gotta admit, it was quite a hurdle, not the least of the issues you'd want with your car, especially if your mileage is getting up there. Your symptoms ring similar bells. An issue with these could cause your car to act up precisely how you've mentioned. If I were you, I'd get those hoses checked pronto. Yeah, it turned out to be a time-consuming job, but at least now my Mazda purrs like the sleek machine it's meant to be. Hope this helps! Remember, with these things, sooner rather than later is the best course. Cheers!
