Brake light not working

Hey, appreciate the advice! Good point, maybe I messed up something while doing the regular checks. My MPV has covered quite a distance, 246068KM to be exact, just had a service a couple of months ago. I'll take a gander around the pedal and see if I can spot anything off with the adaptors. If that doesn't work, I'm dragging this old fella to the shop, I guess. Cheers again!
Hey there! Sounds like you're doing all the right stuff. If you've already covered that many km, it’s actually pretty normal to see things start to go a bit haywire every now and then. Don't lose hope though, these MPVs are tough as nails. Did you manage to check those adapters? If they all seem fine, it could also be a fuse problem. Double-check the fuse for the brake lights, as they can sometimes blow. Happened once on my CX-7, and replacing the fuse solved the issue. If none of this does the trick, it might be worth getting a professional to scope out the brake switch and ABS system. These jobs can get a bit complex for the untrained eye. Hang in there and keep us posted! Good luck!
Hey, good to hear from you again! Haven't had a chance to check those adapters yet, plan to do it this weekend. The fuse is definitely on my check list now, thanks for the pointer. I'm not too keen about messing with the brake switch and ABS though, reckon I'll leave that to the pros. I'll definitely update once I have more info. Fingers crossed it's just a dislodged connector or a blown fuse. Worse comes to worse, at least I know my trusty MPV will be in good hands at the shop. Thanks again! I really appreciate all your help. Cheers!
Yo! I've got a '06 Mazda CX-7 with some similar quirks before. I'm no mechanic, but I know my way around a bit. The problem was actually a personal error. I had unwittingly dislodged the brake light connector while tinkering around. A quick trip to the shop and they put it right back without charging me a dime. Make sure you check the electrical adapter behind the pedal, it might've slipped off. Need more info on your vehicle though to help more precisely.
