Car won't start

Hey there, Indeed, it does look like we're all in the same Mazda family boat, huh? Your experience sure does mirror the kind of trouble I've been dealing with. The glow plug angle is something I hadn't really considered, and I truly appreciate you sharing your insight. Just to gather a few more beans of wisdom here - do you recall roughly how much you had to give away from your pocket to get your glow plug replaced? And has anything else come out of the woodwork since the fix? I'm just trying to prep myself in case this is more than just a one-act play. Thanks again for your response, really appreciate it. Safe journey out there!
Hey again, Oh yeah, I remember well how much that glow plug replacement dug into my wallet: 560.00 €. Good thing is that it sorted out the whole issue so the cost was well justified, ya know? My ride's been smooth sailing ever since! After the fix, the parking heater had been acting up, but since visiting the mechanic, the issue has been sorted out. So yeah, the waters have been calm since then, no new monsters lurking beneath the surface. Anticipate a potential spending when it comes to car troubles, that's what I do now. This way it doesn't feel like a kick in the stomach every time. It's all part of the car owning gig, right? Keep on cruisin' and good luck with getting everything sorted! Don't hesitate to ask if you've got any other concerns.
Hey! Thanks for crunching those numbers for me. It sure does help knowing what I might be up for in terms of cost. It's a relief to hear that you've not had to revisit the mechanic since replacing the glow plug, fingers crossed my situation turns out the same. A potential spending is definitely on the horizon! You're right about that - it comes with owning a car for sure. It's just navigating the waters without striking an iceberg I'm focused on. Once again, your shared experience is invaluable. Much appreciated! Safe travels and here's to smooth sailing (or driving, as the case may be)!
Hey! Had something similar happen to me not a while ago with my 2011 Mazda 6 (even if it's a tad older, we're all in the same Mazda family, huh?). The issue didn't seem overly serious at first, I mean we ain't talking engine failure or severe damage to the transmission system, but it surely was a nuisance I better got rid of sooner than later. So you mentioned your parking heater but with my car, it was a faulty glow plug that caused the no-start situation. I've noticed that the car was having a hard time starting, especially on colder days. She was also not as smooth and efficient as I knew she could be on short runs, and that signaled something was off. Being a bit of a greased elbows, my first step was to check the code reader. And sure enough, it pointed towards glow plug issues. I took it to a mechanic I trust (after getting burned in the past) and after a brief look under the hood, he confirmed my suspicion. He said my glow plug needs a good substitution. Good thing is, replacing a glow plug isn't usually a massive job. It's something you could possibly do yourself if you've got time, knowledge, and the right tools. But then again, if you've got trust issues and no substitute mechanic yet, I'd recommend finding one and just make sure you mention your suspicions about that glow plug and your previous negative experience. Hope this clears things up for you. Wish you all the best, happy cruising! P.S. Let me know if I can be of any more help.
