Hey, really great that you shared your experience - helps a lot! So, your issue was with the assembly...makes sense. I'll definitely have to get it checked out sooner rather than later. Really relieved it's probably not an indicator issue. On a side wander, you happen to recall how much you had to fork out to replace the whole headlamp assembly? Just want to be prepared, you know, and not get a heart attack when I see the bill. And, since you've got it sorted - any other problems pop up after the replacement, or has it been shiny since? Cheers!
Hey there! Glad my previous advice helped out. As far as the cost, for my Mazda Capella, the headlamp assembly replacement set me back about 102.50 €. Honestly, not too bad considering it resolved a rather pesky issue. And oh, about the indicators, since that trip to my repair guy, there hasn't been a single problem. So, positive vibes on that front. Just goes to show, a good mechanic can indeed work wonders, eh? No new issues so far. The ride's been running smooth and nice, surely brighter nights ahead! Best to nip these troubles in the bud before they snowball. Good luck with your Bongo! Cheers!
Excellent, good to hear that the fix hasn't given you any more bother. 102.50 € sounds a lot less scary than I had in my mind, so that's a relief! Also reassuring to know your indicators stayed trouble-free after. I'm going to make an appointment with my mechanic first thing tomorrow. Can't thank you enough for sharing your experience and for your well wishes. Here's hoping I'll have smooth and brighter drives ahead, too! Catch you later, cheers!
Hey, had a similar weird glitch with my 1997 Mazda Capella just a handful of months back. The right headlamp was suddenly dimming intermittently and at times, shooting lower than normal. It was quite baffling, and I wasn't sure if it was a serious issue or not. Skipped in to my trusty garage and the guys there narrowed it down to a faulty headlamp assembly. Basically, the headlamp housing had given way due to wear and tear, messing with the alignment and deterioration of some internal bits was causing the dimming. So, they replaced the entire headlamp assembly, realigned the lamps, and bam! It was back to normal. Good that I found it out earlier, 'cause I was told it could have worsened to a point where the lamp could have completely gone off, not good when you're doing a night stretch, eh? So, in your case, it could be something with the assembly or the aim of the lamps rather than an indicator. Definitely worth getting it checked out properly. Hope my experience proves helpful. Cheers!
