Hey there! Appreciate you sharing your experience with the Mazda CX-7. It does sound like a similar issue I might be dealing with in my AZ Wagon. The whole cable connection shenanigans is a bit complex for my understanding, but if it's what's causing the trouble, might as well have it looked into. Out of curiosity though, do you recall how much you had to shell out for the cable fix and the rest of the jazz? And has anything else cropped up since they fixed it up? Thanks again!
Hey, no problem at all! Always happy to share my two cents. You're right, the cable connection stuff can seem a bit nerdy, but hey its all part of the car game, ain't it? Now, about your query - memory serves me right, I shelled out precisely 95.00 € for sorting the cable connection to the clutch switch. Ain't exactly pocket change but was it worth it or what! Since the fix, I've been pretty much sailing smooth. You remember I mentioned the clutch pedal switch malfunction, right? Well, that got sorted out during this fix too. I haven't had to put up with that pesky warning light in my speedo or any other shenanigans since then. So yeah, reckon it wouldn't hurt for you to get it checked. Worst case, you're out a few bucks. Best case, you're back in smooth driving heaven. Cheers, dude!
I can't thank you enough for all the helpful advice! A smooth ride without pesky warning lights sounds like a dream come true right now. A bit of a hit on the wallet with that 95.00 €, but if it gets things fixed, then I guess it's money well spent. Thanks again for sharing your experience and for the words of encouragement. Here's hoping I'll be back in the "smooth driving heaven" soon enough! Cheers!
Hey, thanks for reaching out. I totally get you. I had a similar issue with my 2009 Mazda CX-7 a while back. The cable connection to the clutch switch was defective. No doubt it caused a lot of hassle, just like what you're going through with your gear display and speedo light. Wasn't exactly the end of the world, but it for sure required attention. The mechanics ended up fixing the cable connection to the clutch switch. They sorted out a couple things too - cleaned up the gear selector area, tinkered with the electrical circuits - you know, all that jazz. Maybe that's what's up with your AZ Wagon? Who can really tell, right? Anyway, best thing you can do is take it back to the garage. Either you get this fixed, or it'll just keep bugging you. Good luck with getting it sorted!
