Hey there, Wow, your experience really hits close to my situation. Thanks for the reassurance! Seems like a mirror issue and fingers crossed it's the pesky antenna as you've mentioned. Given your past experience, hope you don't mind me asking - do you remember roughly how much it ended up costing you to get the whole antenna assembly replaced? And have you encountered any other related problems since? Cheers!
Hey! Absolutely, happy to share! If memory serves me right, I was out 255.00 € for the whole ordeal, that included the parts and the labor for the antenna assembly replacement. It seemed a bit steep then, but since the fix, I have had zero issues with the radio reception signal. The antenna is in proper nick, showing no signs of an encore performance of the previous drama. So, I'd say it was well worth it. Hope that helps and trust me, once it's sorted you'd feel it was money well spent! Safe travels!
Hey! Super helpful info! The price point doesn't sound too bad considering the annoyance at hand. It does appear to be a worthy investment, you've convinced me enough to get it checked and shell out those Euro if need be. I'm just crossing my fingers and hoping for a trouble-free run post-fix. Ever so thankful for you sharing your experience. I feel far more at ease now, and definitely less anxious to face the mechanic again. Your details were just the motivation I needed! Thanks a ton and safe driving to you too!
Hey! I reckon you pinpointed the issue correctly there, considering the symptoms. Roughly a year ago, I had a similar thing happen to my 2021 Mazda 3. My AM/FM signal was on the fritz as well, wrenching havoc on my audio and navigation systems. Turns out, my antenna definitely was the culprit. At my local garage, the guys ended up replacing the entire antenna assembly to sort out the problem. I’d say it’s not a dangerously hazardous issue, but it can be quite annoying especially if you're reliant on your audio or GPS isn't a second thought for you. Basically, it’s a fairly straightforward fix. Find a reputable mechanic and you should be fine! Here's to smoother rides.
