And the signal error in the electric power steering was also rectified. In other words, no further problems since the workshop visit. The mechanic said at the time that a sensor in the ABS/DSC system could be defective, which would also explain the jerking and the problems with the power steering. It turned out that the problem was actually more serious than expected and the sensor system had to be replaced. I would recommend having this checked.
