Hey, thanks for the advice! Good to know that you were dealing with the control unit. I wouldn't have expected that. Can you tell me what the repair costs were back then? And has everything remained fine since then or has there been something similar again? Many thanks in advance!

Hello again! Sure, no problem telling you that. Back then, I paid just under €465 to replace the faulty central locking control unit. It was a big job and the repair wasn't cheap, but after that everything ran like clockwork. Oh yes, I forgot to mention that my first visit to the garage also confirmed my suspicion that my ignition key battery was flat. Fortunately, this was a quick and easy fix. Since my visit to the mechanic, I haven't had any more problems with it. My car has been running perfectly ever since. So, don't be discouraged and just go to the garage early enough. It's often not as bad as it looks. Good luck!

Thank you for your quick reply! 465 sounds like a lot at first, but the main thing is that the problem was solved afterwards. I had already figured it out with the ignition key battery. It's good that it was quick and easy to do. I hope the whole thing goes as well for me as it did for you. I'll just give it a try and take my car to the garage as soon as possible. Thanks again for your help!

Hello,
I think you mean the keyless entry, right?
I have often experienced or heard that the door handle is the problem and therefore needs to be replaced.
I had a similar problem. I can only agree with E87Fan here. The door handles tend to give up the ghost.

In our case, it's apparently the key itself because a new battery has been fitted
It's good to consider all possibilities. However, before replacing any parts, it's best to start with the simplest solution. Try replacing the battery in your key fob first. If the problem persists, then it could be the door handle or the central locking control unit as others have suggested. Please keep us updated on your progress. Do you have any other questions?
Hi buddy, I once had a similar problem with my Opel Movano 2016. It turned out that the central locking control unit was defective. So it wasn't just malfunctions when locking/unlocking, but the warning light was also a sign of this. It wasn't a nice day when I found out. I then took the car to the garage. They had to completely replace the control unit and that fixed everything. A repair like that sounds serious, and it is, because the control unit is actually responsible for the entire function of the locking system. You can imagine that it is a complicated part. Apart from that, it's a problem that can be solved, so don't worry too much. You'll get through it! Just get it checked and fixed as soon as possible and it should be fine. Good luck with that.
