Malfunction of the electric seats in Skoda Superb 2013

Electric seats malfunction

Fault stored

Hey guys, I'm having a bit of trouble with my 2013 Skoda Superb with a petrol engine. The electric seats are spinning and there is an error message. I suspect the fault may be to do with the electric seat. Do any of you have experience with this problem and can give me tips on how to fix it? I would like to know how your garage solved the problem and what your experiences were. Thanks in advance!

Hi, I have had a similar problem with my 2011 Skoda Octavia. I have little experience with cars, but am a practical person. After some research and troubleshooting at the garage, it turned out that the battery was faulty. The repair at the garage cost me 290 euros, they replaced the battery and everything is running smoothly again. Can you perhaps provide more details about your vehicle? That might help to help you better. I hope this helps you a little. Good luck!

Hi, thanks for your reply. Well, I currently have 88254 kilometers on it and the last service was only recently. Maybe that will help! Your tip about the battery is great, I'll definitely have that checked. 290 euros is a lot, but I really don't want the seat to break out from under me when I'm on the road. Maybe someone else has had some experience and can comment.

Hey, no problem, I'm glad I could help. So your car hasn't had that many miles on it, that's good. Given the mileage, I wouldn't necessarily think of wear and tear. It could also be an electrical problem, not necessarily the battery. The garage will certainly be able to read out and determine this more precisely. I would recommend you pay them a visit. You could also check the fuses and relays for the seats, maybe something has blown there. If so, that would be a quick and inexpensive solution. And otherwise - well, 290 euros isn't cheap, but it's still better than a new seat or worse. So keep at it and solve the problem. I wish you the best of luck!

Hello, many thanks for the further tips! I really hadn't thought about the fuses and relays. I'll have a look tomorrow. And if that doesn't help, then it's off to the workshop. Then the 290 euros are probably an investment in my safety and comfort. It's really great that I got such competent help here. Thanks again and have a nice evening!
