Hello, I'm glad that my answer has helped you! Well, I paid around €355 for the EGR valve repair back then. Quite a lot of money, I tell you! But since I went to the mechanic and the EGR valve was repaired, I haven't had any further problems. Everything runs pretty smoothly, like clockwork! Just a little tip, keep an eye on the condition of your engine and don't let the maintenance slide, yeah? That way you'll avoid repeated defects! Have a good trip and hopefully your Skoda will last a while longer! Greetings back!

Hey, that sounds like a lot of money, but what don't you do for a working car, right? Your advice about regular maintenance is actually very helpful. I'm going to follow your example and make sure I pay more attention to the condition of my car in the future and take better care of it. I really hope that after the EGR valve repair, no further problems will occur. Thanks again for your advice and help! Have a safe journey and best regards!

Hi, I had a similar problem with my 2012 Skoda Octavia, diesel. The symptoms were pretty similar: the check engine light was on, the power was low and the engine was running rough. This is definitely due to the EGR valve. In my case, the valve had seized up and clogged. The mechanics at my garage recognized it and the solution was to replace the EGR valve. They said it's more common, especially in older models like ours. This problem definitely has an impact on the performance and life of the engine, so it's better to fix it as soon as possible before it develops into a serious problem. It took them half a day to get this done. So, don't worry, it can be fixed. Good luck and hope everything works out well! Regards!
