Hi, no problem! I had to pay €95 to repair the wiring harness and the regeneration valve. Since then it has actually been running without any problems. As for the leak you suspect in the tank ventilation system, I had a similar problem once. But the mechanic fixed it and it's been really quiet ever since. The overall package for the repairs wasn't cheap, but now my Golf is running really well again! Hope that helps you.

Great, thanks for all the information! I'm always a bit cautious when it comes to money, so €95 makes me breathe a sigh of relief. Sounds like I should tackle that too. I'm encouraged by your experience and it's good to hear that your Golf is now running smoothly again. A first-class mechanic is worth his weight in gold, isn't he? Thanks again and all the best for you and your Golf!

Hey, I recently had a similar experience with my 2013 VW Golf, which caused a lot of trouble. The engine was also running pretty rough and the jerking when accelerating was blatant. The garage found that air was somehow getting into the fuel system. This was not due to a leaking tank ventilation, but the fuel pump, which was no longer quite fit. It was definitely a serious problem, could be the same for you. They had to completely replace my pump and it's been running like clockwork ever since. Keep your fingers crossed that it's not that bad for you!
