Hey, thanks for the advice, that really sounds like my problem. Do you remember how much the repair cost at the time? And have there been any other problems since then or has everything been fine?

Hey, no problem! The repair didn't cost very little back then, I paid €865 to fix the broken swirl flap. But since the intake manifold swirl flaps were repaired, my Renault has been purring like a kitten and I've had no further problems. It was definitely money well spent. I hope this helps you and you get your car running again!

Thank you, brother! That's a pretty hefty sum, but it sounds like a worthwhile investment. Your information really helps me and brings me one step closer to a solution. I hope my Renault runs as well as yours after the repair. It must be much better not to have new problems all the time!

Hello, sounds like a similar problem that I once had with my Renault Laguna built in 2000. In my case, the swirl flap was actually broken. Your symptoms, such as the loss of power, uneven engine running and the black smoke, strongly suggest this. It was a serious problem, but fortunately nothing that couldn't be fixed. In my case, the mechanic replaced the broken swirl flap and cleaned my intake manifold. That was basically it. Since then, my car has been running perfectly again. I hope this helps you.
