Hello, thank you very much for your reply! That sounds exactly like what is happening with my Nemo. It seems like it really is the boost pressure regulator. Oh man, that sounds like a real challenge and work in the engine compartment. Can you remember the cost of the repair? And have there been any other symptoms or problems with your Citroen since the repair? I am very grateful for your help!

Moin, of course, I can tell you the costs. It was €1520 to repair the boost pressure regulator, which was electrically defective. Sure, it was a lot of money, but my Berlingo is now running smoothly again. So it was worth it. Oh, and because you asked about it - since the thing with the position sensor of the boost pressure control, everything has been running perfectly for me. There was no more hissing, stuttering or jerking. So from my point of view, the visit to the mechanic solved the problem completely. I would advise you to go to the workshop before it gets worse! Hopefully I've been able to help you!

Hi, Wow, that's a pretty slim sum, but it seems to have been worth it. It's great to hear that your Berlingo ran smoothly afterwards. Thanks to your experience, I now think my problem is also coming from the boost controller. I will have to book an appointment at the garage soon, for better or worse, before it gets worse. Thanks again for your time and the valuable information! You've been a great help, I really appreciate it. Bye and have a good trip with your Berlingo!

Hello, I had similar problems with my 2018 Citroen Berlingo (diesel). It was actually the boost pressure regulator that was electrically defective. The black smoke, jerking and hissing came from it. I had also suspected this and the mechanic at my garage confirmed it. The repair was a big job because the sensor is located deep in the engine and is not easily accessible. The mechanic had to screw around a lot in the engine compartment to replace the broken sensor. But afterwards the car ran like a champ again, so it was worth it. The whistling noise and the loss of power are probably caused by the same problem. So I would advise you not to wait too long. It's best to go to the workshop soon. Hope this helps you!
