Audio system is not working

Hey there, Cheers for the heads up! Interesting to hear that the main electronic control system could be the culprit and not just the audio or nav systems. I reckon I've got a similar case going on here with my SC. If you don't mind me asking, do you recall how much that repair cost you at your regular garage? Also, have you had any related or recurring issues since they sorted it out? Thanks again for the insight!
Hey again, No worries at all! As for the cost, well, it did a bit of a number on my wallet, but had to keep the old girl going, right? It was 725€ out of pocket to repair the mucked up display. On the cheery side, the faulty Audio system signal was tackled during the same visit. So, after a quick trip to the mechanic, my cruiser's singing tunes and pointing directions like she used to! Till date, no problems! The repair work seems to have done the trick, she's been as good as gold since then. Touch wood! Hope your Lexus gets her groove back soon! Cheers!
Alright thanks a million for all the info! As much as I hate to part with my bucks, gotta keep my gal going too, right? Your experience gives me hope. So, I guess it's time for me to take a spin to my local mechanic with this newfound knowledge. Jeez, you kinda painted a ray of optimism for me there. Hoping my Lexus bounces back and hits the road in full swing like your GS did. Appreciate your help again. Surely will catch you later! Cheers!
Hey! Funny enough, I had a similar problem with my 2005 Lexus GS. The audio and GPS systems conked off similarly, it was like the car lost its senses, you know? Anyway, turns out the issue was more with the main electronic control system, rather than a specific audio or navigation problem. Took it to my regular garage - good bunch of fellas who know their stuff. They ended up having to update some firmware and replace the head unit - seemed to solve it straight away. It was a fair bit of work, but nothing too scary if you've got a reliable mechanic. Kinda gotta take care of these old gals, they've got some miles on them. Good luck with your Lexus, hope this helps! Cheers!
