Hey, appreciate the advice. Sounds like I might be on the right track with my suspicions then. Just wondered, do you remember roughly what you forked out to get it sorted? It'd help me to have an idea what to expect. And has anything similar popped up again since it was dealt with? Still crossing my fingers it's a one-off problem. Cheers!
Hey there! Yeah, I recall the cost was about 155 Euro. It was for sorting out that pesky faulty cable connection. So it wasn't exactly money down the drain since it did take care of the problem. Since visiting the mechanic, it's been smooth cruising. No more ghosting image data on the nav system, thankfully. Here's hoping your issue is a one-off as well so you can get back to enjoying your ride without any problems! Cheers!
That's a relief to hear! Thanks again for the advice. At least now I can take it to the mechanic without feeling completely in the dark about what's going on, not to mention having a ballpark figure to expect. Let's hope it's an easy fix and my Lexus can run smoothly once more, without any ghosts in the machine! Your insights have been invaluable. You've put my mind at ease! Cheers!
Hey! I feel for you, nothing more vexing than tech issues with our rides. I own a 2017 Lexus GS with slightly fewer miles, and had similar drama last year. In my case, it was indeed a faulty cable connection that interfered with my car's electronic systems, including audio and nav. After ruling out software glitches, my mechanic traced the issue back to a loose wiring harness in the console. It was a straightforward enough job to fix for a competently-equipped garage and not like some serious mechanical issue. Don't sweat it much, although it's an annoying problem, it's not typically a major one. You might want to refer your bloke to check your wiring connections first. Best of luck with getting it sorted out! Cheers.
