Lexus GX 2022 Lighting Issues and Troubleshooting Tips

Error in the lighting

Warning light in the speedometer of the vehicle

Hey, my 2022 Lexus GX with a Gasoline engine seems to be acting up. Noticed some funky stuff with the lighting and there's a warning light on the speedometer. I'm assuming a busted bulb might be the culprit. Anyone experienced something similar and can point me in the right direction for troubleshooting? Also, would love to hear about your experience getting this issue fixed up at the workshop. Cheers!

Hey there! I've got some experience with cars, wouldn't call myself an expert though. Faced something similar with my 2020 Lexus LX. Turns out it was a cable connection to the lamp that was defective. Took it to my local workshop – good folks there – and they had it sorted for about 180 Euro. But, to help you more with your 2022 Lexus GX, I'd need more info like the specific warning light that's on. Sounds like it could be the same issue, but without more details, it's hard to say for sure. Hope this helps a bit!

Hey! Thanks for the quick response. Super helpful to know. The warning light that's on is for the Rear Light System; it's been on constant beep lately. One other thing I noticed was the mileage has also been a bit wonky; it's showing 179200 KM even after my last service. Would that be related somehow? Really appreciate the continued advice, dude!

Hey, no problem, glad to be of help! For your Lexus GX, it seems like a similar issue I had. The "Rear Light System" warning usually does point to a problem with the rear lights themselves or their connections. In my case, it was a loose connection so a quick trip to the workshop did the trick. I'd recommend you to do the same. As for the wonky mileage, it's usually not related to the rear lighting system. If it's not resetting after service, it could be an issue with your speedometer's odometer. Perhaps a faulty sensor or the electrical system itself. Usually, such problems can be reset during a regular service, but if it's still persisting, it's best to ask your local mechanic to take a closer look at it. Anyway, keep us posted about your progress and if you need help with anything else. Good luck!

you're a lifesaver! Thanks for sharing your experiences, looks like I'll be paying my local workshop a visit then. Helpful to know about the issues with rear lights and the odometer as well, I'll sure ask them to check it out. I'll be sure to share with y'all what they find and hopefully it'll be as simple as a loose connection or a minor sensor issue. Cheers to you and your knowledge! This place rocks!
