Hey! I'm going through the same situation with my '11 CT200h. Your story rings a bell with me, I'm curious about the cost though. Can you recall how much you had to shell out to get that blower motor replaced? And since the fixing, has anything else come up related to this issue? Crossing my fingers that it's a one-time fix. Cheers!
Hey, glad to hear my experience could kinda help! Now to your questions - cost-wise, it was a wee bit hefty. The bill came out to €365.00 all in all, that was to get the blower motor on my IS250 fixed up good and proper. And since then, it's been smooth sailing, no problems whatsoever, thank goodness. No more noise and the air now blows like it's got a some pep in its step! Looks like it was a one-time hit to the wallet. Cheers and good luck with your CT200h!
You guys, this is a lot of help. Appreciate the pricing details - sounds steep but it does seem like a one-off thing. Important to get that environment inside the car feeling right, you know? Especially in this unpredictable weather. Really appreciate you sharing your experiences. I feel better equipped to have that conversation with my mechanic now. Thanks again and safe driving, fellas!
Hey there! Funny enough, I had a similar issue with my '08 Lexus IS250. The blower motor in mine started acting up too. I knew something was off when it started getting noisy and wasn't blowing air like it normally does. Took it into the garage and the mechanic found out the blower motor was indeed defective. He explained how the motor's function was to push air through the vents and any disruption could lead to inadequate airflow, leading to a distressing ride especially in extreme weather. As for the seriousness, yes, it was. I mean, not like my engine blew up or something, but it was crucial enough to affect my car's interior comfort during drives. They had to replace it to get it back to normal. In a nutshell, I'd say it's a significant issue but you know, pretty much solvable. Hope this helps and good luck with your car!
