Lancer's 4-Tire Pressure Drop: Owners Share Solutions

Tire pressure to low

Hey everyone, my 2021 Mitsubishi Lancer's been showing low tire pressure lately. I've noticed all four tires seem to be affected. Has anyone else dealt with this issue on their Lancer? Wondering if there's something specific to watch out for and what your mechanic did to fix it. Would appreciate hearing about your experiences and solutions. Thanks in advance!

Hey there! I've got some experience with similar issues on my 2019 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross, and I've got moderate experience working with cars. Had the exact same problem, all tires showing low pressure. Turned out my TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring System) sensors were faulty. Took it to my trusted workshop, Mike's Auto, and they diagnosed that all four sensors needed replacement. Cost me around 625€ total, not cheap, but it fixed the issue completely. Before you jump to conclusions though, Have you checked the actual tire pressure with a manual gauge? Does the warning come and go, or is it constant? Any recent temperature changes in your area? This info would help me better understand if you're facing the same issue I had with my sensors.

Thanks for the input! Just checked all tires manually, at 93159 KM, I'd expect some issues but not all four at once. The warning's been pretty constant for about a week now. Temps have been steady in my area, so I don't think that's the culprit. Had my last service about two months ago and everything was fine then. Guess I should get those TPMS sensors checked out. Anyone know a reliable shop that won't break the bank?

Hey again! Thanks for the follow-up info about your Lancer. Since I went through this with my Eclipse Cross, I totally get your concern about all four tires acting up at once. You know what? Before you shell out big bucks for new TPMS sensors like I did, try checking a few more things. I found out later that sometimes these systems can act wonky after a regular service, maybe something got reset wrong. My actually had this happen after his 90k service. For a reliable shop, I'd honestly avoid the dealership, they charged me an arm and a leg for my sensors. I've been really happy with Mike's Auto since then. They do honest work and don't try to upsell you on stuff you don't need. Plus, they actually showed me what was wrong with my old sensors, which I appreciated. Let us know what you find out. Really curious if it's the same sensor issue I had or something simpler!

Thanks so much for the detailed advice! Really appreciate you sharing your experience and those shop recommendations. Pat's Tire Center sounds promising, I'll definitely give them a call tomorrow. It's a relief to hear I might not need to replace all the sensors right away, and I'll ask them to check if anything got messed up during my last service. It's super helpful to hear from someone who's dealt with similar issues. I'll keep the group posted on what the mechanics find. Fingers crossed it's something simple and won't cost me as much as your sensor replacement did! Thanks again for taking the time to help me out with this.
