Hey, really appreciate your quick response! Your experience does sound a lot like my current predicament, although I do wish it didn't, given the circumstances. Glad to hear you got your issues sorted and it was back to smooth cruising with your Optima afterward! So they ended up changing your sensor and juicing up the transmission fluid, huh? I'm curious, do you remember what damage it did to your wallet? Also, since the fix, have you noticed anything else off or out of place with the car? I’m all ears for any additional wisdom you might have to spare! Cheers.
Hey there, glad my previous message resonated with you! Yeah, it was a real drag at the time, but luckily, with the sensor replaced and the transmission fluid at the right level, my Optima's been purring like a kitten. About your question on the dent it left on my pocket, oh boy, let me tell you - parts and labor for this problem weren't exactly cheap. The sensor change and filling up the transmission fluid cost me €365.0 in total. But as much as it hurt my wallet, it sure felt good knowing my car troubles were sorted. And about your second question - since fixing the problems, I haven't noticed any other problems. The car's been running smooth, no crunching sounds or slipping gears, and thank heavens, no pesky warning lights. It was a worthwhile fix in my opinion, no doubts there. So that's it best of luck with your Stinger. I'd advise you to get it looked at as soon as you can, before the issue escalates. Cheers!
Hey, you're a lifesaver! I'm really relieved to hear your Optima has been good as gold since the fix. It's a bummer that it cost you a chunk, but considering the alternative, it certainly seems like the lesser misfortune. I'm grateful for the ballpark figure; at least now I can mentally prepare myself till I get the final quote. Thanks a ton for your advice and sharing your experience. Seems like a no-brainer at this point - I'll get my angel to a mechanic ASAP. Here's hoping she gets back on track with minimal fuss, just like your ride did. Cheers and thanks again for shedding light on this!
Hey there, I see you're in a similar pickle I was in a couple months ago. My whip is a 2015 Kia Optima, and let me tell ya, the issue isn't a walk in the park. I had identical symptoms - the whole nine yards from weird gear noises to freaky warning lights staring back at me on the dashboard. From the looks of it, your hunch might be spot on. While the Transmission Oil Pressure Sensor could be the culprit, there's a good chance that your transmission fluid level is too low, just like mine was. Heck, my mechanic couldn't stop going on about how I should've brought it in sooner - guess he was right about that. In my case, they topped up the transmission fluid, and also went ahead and replaced the sensor, just to cover all bases. After that, it was all smooth sailing, with no more grinding noises or surprise light shows on the speedometer. This isn't exactly a minor issue - I was damn lucky no serious damage had been done to the transmission all this while. You gotta take this seriously too. Don't put it off any longer and get your Stinger to a mechanic you trust, pronto! Give 'em a rundown of what you're up against - the symptoms, your suspicions, the works. Hope it turns out to be a cinch for you. Good luck!
