It cost me €465 to replace this stupid control unit. A lot of money, but after that it was finally quiet. Since then, there have never been any problems with the locking mechanism. It's like a new car, I tell you! By the way, your assumption about the ignition key battery was also the case for me, but I had it done directly by my mechanic. No more worries since then. Hope it helps you!

Hi again, thanks for the feedback! The price range is a bit high, but if it solves the problem for good, it's probably worth it. Glad you didn't have any further problems with the ignition key batteries. I will definitely take the tip about the central locking control unit into account the next time I visit my mechanic. Thanks again!

Hi, I had exactly the same problem with my 2011 Peugeot 308. The problems came from the central locking control unit, not the car key. It really annoyed me because I was always unsure whether the car was locked or not. Have the central locking control unit checked at the garage. In my case, it had to be completely replaced. It was quite a job, but after that the problems went away. Try your mechanic. Hopefully it will help!
