Hey there, thanks for the tip! Seems like our Fiats just wanted a little attention - a new battery and they're golden again, ha! It's good to know it's a simple fix. Mind if I ask how much it cost you for the whole battery replacement, and has anything new cropped up since then? Hoping to avoid any surprises at my garage visit. Much appreciated!
Hey, absolutely, happy to help! Last time I dealt with this, the cost wasn't bad at all. I coughed up around 37€ for the key fob battery replacement. And trust me, it's worth every dime. Took care of the problem entirely, the 'Battery in the key is empty' warning disappeared, and my Ducato has been behaving perfectly since the visit to the mechanic. Nothing new has cropped up so far. Sounds like these Fiats just need a bit of pampering every now and then, eh? Good luck with your own garage visit!
Thanks so much for all that info. That definitely won't break the bank, quite a relief to hear! Seems like the Fiats do have a cheeky temperament, requiring a bit of pampering every now and then but can't complain if it's just a battery change. Off I go to my mechanic then, fingers crossed it goes as smooth as it did for you. Appreciate the help!
Hey had a similar thing on my 2015 Fiat Bravo,, it's a pretty common issue so no major worries. Last time I faced this, it was indeed the battery in the key fob gone kaput. As per my garage escapade, the main solution was a simple key fob battery change to fix the issues. No fancy stuff required; replaced the battery, and the warning light disappeared almost immediately. My lock/unlock feature was back on track too. Hope this helps you out! Cheers.
