Yo, thanks for sharing that! Seems like our rides got similar temperaments, eh? Just wondering though, do you remember ballpark how much that fix set you back? And has anything else cropped up since this issue got resolved? You know, just trying to gauge what I might be in for with my old GX. Cheers!
Hello! Absolutely understand where you're coming from. So, I had the same "Air conditioning error saved" message like you, and after seeing the mechanic it was resolved - and the A/C's been running smoothly ever since. As for the costs, it was a bit on the pricey side – repairing the defective climate control unit set me back about 880€. But, considering the comfort it brought back, and the flawless function of the A/C afterwards, I reckon it was worth it. Hope this helps in getting a handle on what you're possibly looking at for your Lexus GX. Hoist the mainsail and set course for a cooler journey! Cheers!
Thanks a ton for the info, really appreciate it! Yeah, that does sound a bit pricey but hey, if it gets my ride back on track, then I reckon it's a price worth paying. Appreciate you sharing your experience and costs, helps to know what I might be diving into. Alright then, time to set sail for that cooler journey! Thanks again!
Hey there, I totally get your frustration! I had a remarkably similar problem with my '02 Lexus LX a while back; had issues with both heating and cooling, and the blower performance was downright bizarre. Turned out it was the climate control unit that needed replacing. The biggest task was diagnosing the issue accurately, which was essential to fix the problem and yes... it was a fairly serious issue, but so long as you've got a solid mechanic you trust, you're golden. All in all, from initial diagnosis to replacing the climate control unit, the job took a decent amount of work. The good news is that my Lexus has been performing flawlessly ever since the repair. From the sound of your situation, you might be looking at a similar fix. Best of luck!
