They just needed to replace the whole thing. Specifically, it was sending signals that led to these irregular and uncoordinated gear changes, hence all these symptoms. The repair was a bit time-consuming and took a few days. But afterwards it was as good as new, all the problems were gone. So get your car checked out properly, maybe it's the same with you.
