Hey, glad I could help! Yes, the repair of the transmission control unit cost me €1000, not exactly a penny, but after that the car ran like clockwork again. And since my visit to the mechanic, the gearbox oil pressure fault has been rectified and there have been no further problems. No grinding, whining or other stuff! So my car has really been running smoothly ever since. I can only recommend that you have your car checked properly. I hope it helps you!

You've honestly helped me a lot, thank you for that! It will cost me a bit, but if my car runs like it did on the first day, it's worth the money. I'll probably go to another garage and have my car checked. Thanks again for the info and your advice, really! Bye and have a good trip!

Hello, I recently had a similar problem with my 2009 Ford Galaxy. It showed similar symptoms - irregular shifting, grinding noises and constant whining. I took the car straight to the garage. There it turned out that the transmission control unit was defective. It's not exactly a minor defect, this unit controls the entire transmission operation. They just needed to replace the whole thing. Specifically, it was sending signals that led to these irregular and uncoordinated gear changes, hence all these symptoms. The repair was a bit time-consuming and took a few days. But afterwards it was as good as new, all the problems were gone. So get your car checked out properly, maybe it's the same with you. Good luck!
