Ended up paying 310€ for everything, including the diagnostics and a new battery. A bit more than I expected, but way better than what I was fearing it might cost! The funny thing is, they showed me my old battery and it looked perfectly fine on the outside, but the tests showed it was barely holding 40% charge. No wonder the heated windshield wasn't working! They also cleaned up the terminals while they were at it, which was a nice bonus. Everything's working great now heated windshield, all the electronics, even my radio presets that kept resetting themselves (turns out that was related too).
