Warning light in the speedometer of the vehicle

Hi everyone, my 2020 Infiniti QX is having ABS issues. The ABS and DSC warning lights are on, and there's also a warning light in the speedometer. I suspect it might be the wheel speed sensor, but I'd like to hear from anyone who's dealt with similar symptoms. Did you get it fixed, and what exactly was the problem? Any input on repair costs and experiences with workshops would be really helpful. Thanks in advance!

Hey there! I had a similar issue with my 2018 Infiniti Q50 last summer. I have some experience working on cars, but for ABS issues, I always trust the pros. The symptoms were exactly like yours ABS light, DSC warning, the whole deal. Turned out it was indeed a faulty ABS sensor. Got it fixed at my local Infiniti dealer, cost me around 260€ including parts and labor. The job took about an hour. Which wheel is showing the issue on your QX? Could help narrow things down. Also, has your car been through any deep puddles lately? Sometimes water/debris can mess with these sensors. Let me know these details, and I might be able to share more specific advice!

Thanks for sharing your experience! I'm currently at 68655 KM and had my latest service just two months ago. The front right wheel seems to be the culprit in my case. No deep puddles, but I did notice some unusual noises from that corner before the lights came on. Hearing that it was a relatively quick fix in your case is reassuring. Did you notice any improvement in overall braking performance after the repair? I'm planning to take it to the dealer this week, just hoping it won't turn into something more serious. Btw, was your sensor completely dead, or was it giving intermittent readings? Mine seems to act up mostly during low-speed maneuvers.

Hey again! Thanks for the follow-up. Yeah, hearing those unusual noises before the lights came on definitely points toward the sensor that's exactly what happened with my Q50 too. To answer your questions yes, I did notice a difference after the repair. The braking felt more confident, especially during slow-speed turns in parking lots. You know that slightly grabby feeling you sometimes get during low-speed maneuvers? That completely disappeared after they fixed it. In my case, the sensor wasn't completely dead it was giving those annoying intermittent readings just like yours. That's actually pretty typical for failing ABS sensors. Mine would act up mostly during slow speeds too, particularly when taking corners in parking lots or backing up. Given the similarity of our symptoms (especially the low-speed issues), I'm pretty confident you're dealing with the same problem I had. The good news is that it's a straightforward fix. Just make sure they clean the sensor housing well when they replace it sometimes debris can build up there and cause issues even with a new sensor. Keep me posted on how it goes at the dealer!

Thanks so much for all the detailed info! You've honestly made me feel a lot better about the whole situation. It's really helpful to hear from someone who's been through exactly the same thing, especially with such a similar pattern of symptoms. Those intermittent readings during low-speed maneuvers were really starting to worry me. I've got my dealer appointment scheduled for Thursday morning, and I'm feeling much more confident now that it's likely just the sensor. Your repair cost seems pretty reasonable too, which is a relief I was imagining much worse! I had nightmares about having to replace the entire ABS module or something crazy expensive like that. I'll definitely make sure they check the sensor housing for debris like you mentioned. It's exactly these kinds of tips that make asking here so worthwhile. Really appreciate you taking the time to share your experience in such detail! I'll update you on how it goes after Thursday. Thanks again!
