Warning light in the speedometer of the vehicle

Thanks for the info! Mine shows a yellow warning icon, kind of like an engine symbol. I last serviced the car at 100715 KM, and everything seemed fine until last week. Haven't done any battery work recently, but I did notice it started happening after I had to jump-start the car when I accidentally left the lights on overnight. Could that have triggered something? The car runs fine otherwise, but that warning light is making me nervous.
Hey again! Thanks for the additional details about your Infiniti. Yeah, that jump-start situation definitely rings a bell had almost the exact same thing happen with my Q70 Hybrid last winter! From my experience, that yellow engine light is super common after a jump-start in these hybrids. When I had my incident, the warning light stuck around for about 3-4 days, even though the car was running perfectly fine. It's basically the system being extra cautious and running through all its checks again. These hybrids are pretty sensitive to voltage changes, and that jump-start probably threw it off a bit. In my case, I just kept driving normally, and after about 200-250 km of regular driving (including some highway runs), the light cleared itself. The key was making sure to do a mix of city and highway driving to let all the systems complete their checks. Just make sure you're not experiencing any actual performance issues if the car's running smooth otherwise, it's probably just going through its reset cycle. But hey, if you're worried or if it doesn't clear up after a week of normal driving, might be worth getting it checked out just to be safe. Better safe than sorry, right? Let me know how it goes! Would be interested to hear if your experience matches mine.
Oh this is such a relief! Thanks so much for sharing your experience it's exactly what I needed to hear. I've only driven around the city since the jump-start, so that explains why the light's still on. I'll make sure to take it on the highway this weekend and give it those proper drive cycles you mentioned. It's super reassuring to know someone else went through the same thing and it resolved itself. You're right the car is running perfectly fine otherwise, so I'll keep an eye on it for the next week or so. If it doesn't clear up after some highway runs, I'll get it checked out just to be on the safe side. Really appreciate you taking the time to explain all this. It's saved me from an unnecessary panic trip to the dealership! I'll update you next week on how it goes. Thanks again!
Hey there! I have some experience with hybrids and had a similar issue with my 2015 Infiniti Q70 Hybrid (basically M Hybrid's successor). My warning light popped up right after I had my battery replaced. The mechanic at my regular workshop explained that hybrid systems need to complete several drive cycles to reset all monitors and clear the warning. He charged me 90€ to run a proper diagnostic and reset the system, but also showed me how the readiness monitors needed time to complete their checks. What's your exact warning light looking like? And have you had any recent battery work done? This info would help me share more relevant details from my experience.
