Thanks for sharing your experience! This is really helpful. I'll definitely look into getting mine checked at the dealership rather than a regular mechanic. Do you remember roughly how much they charged you for the cleaning and recalibration? Also, has everything been working fine since then, or have you had any other sensor issues pop up?
Hey again! Glad I could help! Yeah, I just had it done at the dealership, and it was actually pretty reasonable only cost me 45€ for the cleaning and recalibration. Not bad at all considering how worried I was that it might be something major! Since getting it fixed, everything's been working perfectly no more warning lights or sensor issues. It's been smooth sailing for months now. The parking sensors are back to normal, and all those annoying dashboard warnings disappeared as soon as they cleaned up that dirty radar sensor. Just like I figured, it really was just road grime causing all the trouble. These Infinitis are solid cars, but sometimes their sensors can be a bit finicky when they get dirty. Taking it to the dealership was definitely the right call they knew exactly what to look for and sorted it out super quick. Hope you get yours fixed soon! Let me know how it goes at the dealership.
Update on my sensor situation! Took your advice and went to the Infiniti dealership yesterday. You were spot on turned out my radar sensor was completely covered in grime from all the winter driving. They did a deep clean and recalibration, and bam! All the warning lights are gone, and my parking sensors are working perfectly again. Cost me a bit more than yours though around 75€, but honestly, I'm just relieved it wasn't something more serious. The whole thing took about 2 hours, and the service team was super professional. Way better experience than my last mechanic! Can't believe I was stressing so much about this when it was just dirt causing all the trouble. Definitely learned my lesson about keeping those sensors clean and going to specialists who know these cars inside out. Thanks again for pointing me in the right direction. Really saved me from what could've been an expensive wild goose chase at a regular garage!
I had a similar issue with my 2015 Infiniti Q50 diesel last summer. The sensor problems you're describing sound exactly like what I experienced multiple warnings and the parking sensors acting up. In my case, it turned out the front radar sensor was just extremely dirty and partially blocked by road grime build-up. My regular mechanic couldn't figure it out, so I took it to the Infiniti dealership. They did a thorough diagnostic and found that the sensor just needed a proper cleaning and recalibration. It wasn't a serious issue at all. I'd suggest finding a certified Infiniti dealer or a specialist who knows these models well. The electrical systems in these cars are pretty complex, and not every mechanic has the right diagnostic tools for them. The dealership service center in should be able to handle this they sorted mine out in about half a day. Just make sure whoever looks at it has experience with Infiniti's radar and sensor systems. And yes, it's worth getting it checked soon these warnings shouldn't be ignored even if the car seems to run fine otherwise.
