Thanks for sharing your experience! It's helpful to hear about similar cases. My car's last service was just a month ago and it's at 37276 KM right now. I haven't noticed any other symptoms besides what I mentioned, but I'll definitely check those terminals. Think I'll give them a good clean first and see if that helps. I actually can't remember when I last changed the battery probably been a while. Your solution makes sense, might be worth getting mine tested. Did you notice any improvement in general performance after the battery replacement?
Hey again! Thanks for the follow-up. Yeah, I definitely noticed a huge difference after replacing my battery in my G35. Like night and day, honestly! The whole electrical system just felt more stable no more dimming lights when I turned on the AC, and the engine started up way stronger, especially on cold mornings. Even my radio and navigation system seemed to work better, which I hadn't even realized were affected. Since your mileage is pretty similar to what mine was (I was around 40000 KM when I had the issue), and you can't remember your last battery change, I'd definitely recommend getting it tested. These Infinitis can be pretty sensitive to battery health. A weak battery can cause all sorts of weird electrical issues that you might not even connect to the battery at first. One thing I learned from my experience don't wait too long once you start noticing these symptoms. I kept putting it off thinking it was just a minor issue, and ended up getting stranded at a shopping mall one evening. Not fun! Let me know what you find out after checking those terminals. If cleaning doesn't help, I can recommend the battery brand I went with been super reliable so far!
Thanks so much for all the detailed advice! You've definitely convinced me to take action sooner rather than later. I really don't want to end up stranded somewhere like you did that must have been such a pain! I'll start with cleaning the terminals this weekend, but I'm also going to schedule a battery test next week. Actually, I'd love to know which battery brand you went with, just in case I need a replacement. Sounds like it made a huge difference in your G35's performance. Really appreciate you taking the time to share your experience it's exactly what I was hoping to learn when I posted here. I'll update the thread once I figure out what's going on with mine. Thanks again!
Hey there! I have some experience with cars and had a similar issue with my 2007 Infiniti G35 last winter. I feel your pain these electrical gremlins can be super annoying! My symptoms were almost identical flickering lights, weak starts, and warning lights popping up unusually. Turned out my battery was on its last legs and also had some corrosion at the terminals. Took it to my trusted workshop, and they did a full electrical system check. They found that the battery was barely holding charge and needed replacement. Total bill came to around 290€ including labor and a new quality battery. Car's been running like a charm since then. Before jumping to conclusions though could you tell me if you've noticed any other symptoms? Also, how old is your current battery? This info would help me share more relevant details from my experience. Quick tip: Keep an eye on those battery terminals regular cleaning can prevent a lot of these issues!
