Infiniti FX Blower Issues: Electric Heater Causing Problems?

Hey! I had a similar issue with my '06 Infiniti EX35 last winter (I have some experience working on cars as a hobby). The symptoms were exactly like yours cabin wouldn't warm up properly. Took it to my regular workshop, Jim's Auto, and they diagnosed a faulty electric auxiliary heater. Total repair was about 350€ mostly labor costs since they had to remove some dash components to access it. Fixed the heating problem completely, and it's been working great since then. I think these auxiliary heaters are a common weak point in Infinitis of this era. What's your mileage and have you noticed any other electrical issues? Might help pinpoint if it's just the heater or part of a bigger problem.

When I had my EX35 fixed (mine had around 155K at the time), the mechanic at Jim's Auto actually mentioned that these issues typically show up around the 150-170K mark. Pretty spot on with what you're experiencing! I forgot to mention in my first reply before I got it fixed, I noticed the problem was worse on really cold mornings. Did you notice the same thing? It's like the auxiliary heater would struggle the most when you really needed it. And you're smart to get it checked before winter that's exactly what I did. Trust me, you don't want to be dealing with this in freezing temperatures. Mine actually got progressively worse over a couple of weeks before I had it fixed.
