Hello community, I have a somewhat strange problem with my 2004 Audi A6 Diesel. When accelerating, it blows black smoke out of the exhaust, the check engine light comes on, it sometimes just goes out, the engine power drops sharply, the engine runs unevenly and it jerks when accelerating. On top of that, the fuel consumption is higher and the exhaust smells strongly. The whole thing somehow reminds me of a problem with the low-pressure fuel system. Has anyone had similar experiences? How did you fix it? Every tip counts! Thanks in advance!

Hi, I had a similar problem with my 2002 Audi A4 petrol car, I only have a bit of experience with cars but I definitely remember this situation. I took it to my regular garage and after a thorough inspection they found that the fuel line was faulty. That fixed almost the entire problem and it cost me 265 euros. It could be your problem, but of course I can't say for sure without seeing the car. Could you give some more information about your car? That might help me give a more accurate assessment. Thank you for your answer. My Audi A6 now has 262310 km on it and the last inspection was recently carried out. Maybe I should have the fuel line checked. I hope that this will solve the problem. Hi again! Sure, with so many kilometers on the speedometer, something can break. Checking the fuel line is definitely a good idea. It wasn't too bad for me, but it probably depends on the exact damage. It could just be a small leak or something more serious. In my situation, they had to replace the entire line because it was damaged in several places. That took a few hours. But if it's just a small crack, it could be quicker. My garage did a great job and the difference in handling was immediately noticeable. So don't worry, the guys in the workshop will get it right! The most important thing is that you get it checked as soon as possible. Such problems can lead to more serious engine damage if you don't get them under control. So, take it to the garage and keep your fingers crossed that it won't be too expensive!
