Hey there, that's a real bummer with your Arkana. I had a similar issue with my 2020 Renault but like our friend here, mine was a wiring issue, not the ignition starter switch. Just out of curiosity, did you recall how much you shelled out to get that defect sorted? And any chance of having more issues creeping up since that fix? Cheers!
Hey there, yep, I remember it quite clearly. For my Megane, the naughty wiring harness set me back around 95€. Not the most pleasant thing to shell out, I'll tell you that! But since the fix, the car's been running smooth as butter, no additional issues creeping up. As for the ignition starter switch fault you're asking about, that was addressed on another garage visit before this wiring muddle. Haven't had any issues with that since, so you could say the mechanic did a stellar job on it. Here's hoping your Renault behaves too! Cheers!
Hey there, my friends! I appreciate the input and solidarity. It was indeed a defective wiring harness causing all that ruckus. My mechanic did a good job fixing it too. The final bill rolled in at around 100€, just a tad more than yours. But thankfully, the issue seems sorted for now and my Arkana is back to its good old self. Fingers crossed, no more surprises down the road. Thanks again for your valuable advice and understanding! Cheers!
Hey, sounds like a real pain, alright. I had sort of a similar issue with my 2019 Renault Megane, turns out it was a defective wiring harness, not the ignition starter switch. The various electrical issues, including the car not starting, were all arising from this little nuisance. At my last garage visit, they had to finally get it sorted. Emotions aside, I can tell you, it did seem like a serious issue at the time. The defective wiring harness can cause loads of problems, some of which could be potentially dangerous. For instance, the electrical systems might fail, sometimes even mid-drive. Your whip's relatively new, so hopefully, yours is still under warranty and the problem can get fixed without much ado. That is, if it's the same issue as mine of course. Always like a bit of a mystery, these machines. Hope this helps, and your Arkana gets better soon! Cheers!
