Hyundai Tucson 2019 Power Window Issues and Need for Reliable Mechanic

Power windows malfunction

Fault stored

Hey! I've got a 2019 Hyundai Tucson, runs on gas, with about 26,000 km logged. Bit of a strange issue, my power windows are playing up and showing a "Fault Stored" notification. Tried to get the window regulator learned but no joy. Anyone had a similar problem? Also, any mechanic recommendations would be welcome since my last one was a nightmare. Cheers!

Hey! I had a similar situation with my 2016 Hyundai Santa Fe - got the "Fault Stored" message and my power windows went a bit bonkers too. First thought it was an electrical fault but turned out the issue was with the car battery. Had it replaced at the garage and that did the trick. I know it doesn't sound related, but apparently, these new cars are sensitive to voltage drops. Regarding a mechanic, I've got a reliable guy but he's based out in the burbs. Hit me up if you need his details. Good luck!

Hey there, cheers for the response and advice - really appreciate it. I hadn't considered the car battery, quite a revelation if it's causing the window kerfuffle! Can you remember roughly what you ended up forking out for that battery swap? Also, since the fix, any other gremlins surfaced in related to this issue? As for your mechanic, I'll keep him in mind! Always useful having a dependable recommendation. Thanks again!

Hey again! So, when I took my Tucson to the mechanic to sort out the issue, it turned out that learning the window regulator was a dead end. But on the plus side, since then, no other weird window malfunctions popped up, everything's been working smooth sailing like clockwork. As for the battery replacement, it ended up setting me back by roughly 290 Euro. It might seem a bit dear, but it's well worth it compared to having dodgy windows, right? And given how everything's been tip-top since, I'd say it was money well spent. Do holler if you need anything else or want to connect with my mechanic. Good luck with your ride!

Hey, thanks a million for the help, good to hear your Hyundai's behaving itself after changing the battery – gives me hope for mine. 290 Euro doesn't sound too bad if it solves the problem, better than being stuck with erratic windows, right? I'll start by getting my battery checked then consider looking into your mechanic. Thanks again for the useful advice! Catch you later!
